Project Studio

img_6082Y’all, I found my new favorite hang out spot! When Amy contacted me and invited me to come hang out in her little shop called Project Studio (located in Marietta, Georgia), I knew I was going to love it! A coffee in one hand and paint brush in the other…sounds like a great Saturday morning to me! It is the perfect spot to get your creative juices flowing and create something adorable for your home, classroom or business. Continue reading

{DIY} Picture Ledge

img_5845In case you didn’t already know, I am a crazy dog lady. If you open the camera app on my phone and scroll through my pictures, 98% of them are of my dogs. I follow them around like paparazzi every day because they are just so darn cute. All my fellow dog people can relate. Don’t lie, you know you get excited when someone says, “Do you have a picture of your dog?” Oh do I? Ya wanna see them playing? Eating? Sniffing around? Wrestling each other? Being good? Being bad? Wearing a shirt? Wearing my hat? Riding in the car? Sleeping? I got you covered! I cannot even stand how cute they are. I just squeeze their faces all the time. And yes, in case you are wondering, pitbulls love to be squeezed. Continue reading

Keepsake Christmas Ornament

img_4256My husband is a die hard “Real Tree Person.” Even the mention of a fake tree in our house is sure to muster up eye rolls and protesting. The first year we were married, I was so excited to pick out a tree. We headed to a tree farm, tied that baby up and threw it in the back of the Jeep with the top down…this is the South after all. We drove it home and our dog peed on it immediately. I mean, it IS a tree I guess. We strung it up with lights and hung up our four ornaments, leaving quite a few empty branches. We loved it anyway. This will be the fourth Christmas Tyler and I have spent together, and our tree this year is the prettiest to date. With that being said, our top lights just stopped working and Luna is trying to eat the fake berries off of it. I guess you can’t win them all, but no one has peed on it and we have added a few ornaments to our collection. I would call that success! Continue reading

{DIY} Farmhouse Style Corbels

I don’t know about y’all, but I just love those antique farmhouse style corbels floating around. Such a pretty touch added to a shelf, used as bookends or just styled on a mantle. I recently found some beautiful ones in a local antique shop, but quickly put them right back where I found them when I saw the price tag. EIGHTY bucks. NOPE. With exterior painting going on at our place, every penny must. be. pinched. {DIY} Embroidery Hoop Art

img_2898I’ve already shared how I so quickly fell in love with my sunroom! If you missed it, start here! The floor to ceiling windows along three walls are bright and beautiful and the perfect lookout tower for my pups to spy on the neighbors and bark at the squirrels. With that kind of view, I knew that fourth wall needed something special! Shelves are pretty, but required me to buy MORE stuff to fill them. A large piece of art would have filled the space, but is slightly boring. I was perusing Instagram when I saw these babies. Embroidery hoops! So sweet and so pretty and the perfect touch to finish off this room. This project was originally featured by Erin over at Cotton Stem right here! Seriously, do yourself a favor and check out her blog. It is amazing and so jam packed with beautiful interior inspiration! So…thank you Erin for this idea! Continue reading
